When can I buy SpaceX?

SpaceX stock is expected to be available to buy on Hatch on Friday 12 June 2026 (US time), which is Saturday morning 13 June NZST. There may be delays, or it may also be postponed.

Can I buy before the market opens?

No, our broker cannot accept buy orders for a stock until the stock is considered active and quoting.

Why is the buy button not available ?

The buy button is disabled until the stock is active and ready for trading.

Why can’t I preload an order?

There is no price available until the stock is active and ready for trading.

🚨Important: It’s common for new IPOs to take minutes, or even a few hours, after the market opens before trading starts. A new stock coming onto the market is declared active when the market declares it to be. This is something neither our broker DriveWealth, or Hatch, has control over.

What price will SpaceX shares be?

SpaceX has an offer price of US$135 per share. However that doesn’t mean that once it is public, that will be the price available to everyday investors. There are a few different terms for pricing during the IPO process that you should know:

  • Offering price – The final IPO share price that people who have received an allocation pay to receive shares as part of the company’s IPO.

  • Indicative price – An estimated price range given to potential investors of an IPO to give them an idea of the final price they’ll likely pay for shares.

  • Opening price – The initial cost of one share in a company when it’s first listed on a share market.

Why is there no price on SpaceX?

There is no price available until the stock is active and ready for trading.

Will there be trading halts?

A trading halt is a temporary suspension of trading for a particular company. Due to price volatility with the SpaceX IPO, there could be trading halts. While the trading halt is in place:

  • You may not be able to place any new buy or sell orders

  • Open orders can be held in a pending state

  • Open orders, particularly fractional orders, can be cancelled

  • You can still request to cancel pending orders during a trading halt
