Hatch allows you to buy and sell shares in dollar amounts. Most shares are seen at prices like $52.45, $9.74, or $110.03. Instead of figuring out the cost of shares and paying odd dollar amounts, investors can choose to invest dollar amounts like $500, $1,000, or $10,000.

For example:
$10,000 invested in Amazon would result in 6.1350 Amazon shares*

Dollar-based investing also allows you to buy a fraction of a share that you might not normally be able to afford, e.g. 0.2 Amazon shares.
