Hatch allows you to buy and sell shares in dollar amounts. Most shares are seen at prices like $52.45, $9.74, or $110.03. Instead of figuring out the cost of shares and paying odd dollar amounts, investors can choose to invest dollar amounts like $500, $1,000, or $10,000.

For example:
$1,000 USD invested in Apple would result in 4.350 Apple shares*

Dollar-based investing also allows you to buy a fraction of a share that you might not normally be able to afford, e.g. 0.35 Apple shares.
