Passkeys increase security while also simplifying your login process. Instead of using your regular email + password + 2FA code, you can just use a passkey to instantly access your account. To prove your identity, passkeys use biometrics (like fingerprint or facial recognition), screen lock (like a PIN or swipe pattern), or even a physical USB key.

Passkeys work like a pair of keys; your operating system will securely create a unique cryptographic key pair for each app/website account. One key is stored on your device or password manager, the other is kept with Hatch.

Hatch never learns what your key is, and both keys need to work together to sign you into your account.
